Abstrakt:

An analysis of investment attractiveness in Eastern Poland was conducted on the basis of poviats. Multi-aspect character of the investment attractiveness required to apply plenty of variables which at least approximately would illustrate the point. For the research 15 diagnostic variables were taken into account, which later were verified from the statistical point of view. The variables with low variability and high correlation were eliminated. The final list of variables includes 8 indexes which characterize infrastructure, economy and investments. The year 2005 is a research period. The research objects are 87 poviats. The Ward's method is the research procedure. The calculations were made with the use of Statistica 7.1 P1 and Excel. The results obtained might be significant information for taking investment decisions in the research area. (original abstract)
