Abstrakt:

The paper contains an attempt of unified presentation of existing methods used for the measurement of social, psychological and economic features. Three main approaches are distinguished: measurement, scaling and indices construction. All of them are briefly characterized. Mainly, the paper offers some of the real and important scaling methods not known in Polish literature. It concerns particularly the famous Schuessler’s 12 scales of social feelinfs, as well as the well known SF-36 scale.
