 abstract={The level of tourism destination competitiveness, due to its relatively complex nature, represents a problematic research area. It is difficult to illustrate by means of a single meaningful and credible indicator and thus measures based on a number of variables have to be applied. Therefore, tourism destination competitiveness is very often presented in a theoretical perspective. Empirical applications are encountered much less frequently, especially at a micro level.
