The authors focus on the implementation of Quicklook assessment to indicate the primary benefits of the field research. In the case where inventions are not well identified by the commercial marketplace, the Quicklook assessment gives early warning signals of market barriers. If the inventions have commercial interest, Quicklook methods may give some clues to utility of products. Because the Quicklook assessment depends on primary research, its usage in marketing research has become wide.
