It is common to consider that KBE can give the possibility for catching up at the level of development between countries with lower level to the well-developed countries. Currently also the new countries are having a chance to use this possibility. Even now it can be observed that Hungary, for example, is turning up in new reality, achieving success in the field of high-tech trade or attracting FDI. Poland is one of the well-managed countries in the group of new member states. However, as the analysis shows, in the field of KBE our country presents a large development backwardness towards countries that became members of the EU in the same year. Alarming is the fact that during 11 years (1995-2006) Poland, in the group of new member states, was characterized by the lowest dynamic of changes in the field of KBE, as it showed by its position in the ranking presented by the methodology KAM of the World Bank.(original abstract)}, title={Metodologia badania oraz stan zaawansowania budowy GOW w wybranych nowych państwach członkowskich Unii Europejskiej}, type={artykuł}, }
